wedding card

this is a trifold card.....CASED from kelly ward's blog

one side is the tux......studs & boutonnière, the brides side is swirly shiny paper embossed with holographic EP...pink sash for some pizzaz.  the congratulations sticker is one i have had forever...bought online and initially from Holland i think.

a teensy magnet holds it closed....the edge of the tux is die cut using a tim holtz edge.....inside i embossed with a SU flower folder....happiness is a $$ stamp embossed in silver.

snowman tent card

the snow man is premade....got a ton in a bag at HL for $2 !  the glittery tree is a sizzix die that i have had forever and never used.  cut a hole in the card front with a nestability scalloped circle die.....snowflakes stamped with white kraft (SU) and embossed with glitter EP.

got the "real wood" paper at michaels this week, pretty nifty stuff.  owl punch by SU......havent decided on a sentiment yet....

what is a tent topper?

cut cardstock 8 1/2 in by 4 1/4 in, score in half.....cut an additional 4 x 4 1/4 in piece of cardstock, score at 1, 2 and 3 in....fold accordion style.... insert at the bottom so the card stands up without a problem.  folds nicely to fit in an envelope...

thanksgiving cards

a few thanksgiving cards...

.my husband says "who the heck sends thanksgiving cards?"...well, i do.  and halloween and fall and other occasions people usually dont think of !

used a variety of punches....1 3/4 in circle, narrow oval, scalloped circle and scalloped oval....also a tent card, but this turkey makes it a tent topper tent card !  not so sure if he will be repeated....

oh my, love tent cards......

this one is 4 1/4 in square.....the stamp set is Falling leaves from PTI.  i embossed the leaves with two powders...with multiple fall colors in each.  i used crystal effects on the acorns.  the little orange circle peeking out is an envelope that has a hidden message that slides out.  since tent cards are tough to write on, this provides space for a message without having to write inside.

glitter, copics and witches feet.  the sentiment was done on my computer.....i LUV it.

SU owl punch

i do love this SU punch......the owls can be made in so many ways....these two perch on a chipboard flourish....the sentiment is from SU...dont know if the beav's dad really said this, but it is true !!

.....spiders and bat are punched from a CB die that i have had for a few years....

halloween mode

since i have started selling my wares i must get in the halloween mode fast.  there is a street fair associated with the store that carries my cards so i have to hustle to get a good amount done by september 25th.

PTI friendship jar and jar fillers for fall are pretty nifty.  colored images with copics.....variety of papers on hand from years past serve as backgrounds....

three little purses

the fancy edge was created with an edge die from tim holtz.  small oval punch serves are the purse flaps....

used the rounded tag punch (SU) for the purse bodies, folding the punched out image in half.  i made the handles using a small circle punch punched over with a little larger circles....provided two handles that way.

happy rainbow and balloon

again..........stamps and dies from PTI....on a 4 1/4 square card......i put clear glaze on the rainbow and embossed the blue background with the swirls CB folder...a bit of clear glitter on the cloud for bling

popped out flowers

i used several tools for this card....a texture plate from PTI for the background and a flower die from PTI in different sizes.

i inked the texture plate in yellow and love the color and pattern it gave the cardstock, then i cut out three flowers and stamped the card in back of the popped embossed front piece.

weekly southernbreezes challenge

we were to use glitter or flocking or flowersoft for this challenge.

i chose glitter

this technique is "faux quilting"....scraps of scrapbooking paper sewed to a piece of cardstock and then popped up on the front of a 4 inch sq card.

the text is from PTI....

i used scor-tape on the bottom and added ultra fine green glitter to that to create a straight line.....pretty cool way to glitter.

southernbreezes glitter challenge

this card was made using a napkin which is glued on to a piece of cardstock with glue stick and then run thru a CB embossing folder and then inked with yellow.  the technique is called "felting". the butterfly is dusted with clear glitter.....a bit of bling.

this is paper from Nana's nursery....baby boy.  just cut a flower with sizzix die from felt and added a bit of glitter....sentiment printed on the computer since i had not one baby shower sentiment !

one more baby or baby shower card....this is dbl sided paper ....the large scallop (PTI die) is the reverse side of the nifty paper...a pin on the sheer ribbon is just a tad too dark, but i hope it works......

wedding cards

i was able to sell some of my cards to a new local artsy store that features local "artists".  here's a few wedding cards i made for them.

the paper has been in my stash for a few years.... i covered the piece with lace.  the sentiment is from SU.  the sheer bow adds some pizzazz 

i dont consider myself an artist, but it was flattering to have the owner say that she loved what i brought to show her

the silver cardstock is embossed with a swiss dot....little silver hearts and the red brad add some dimension

embossed vellum over a piece of anna griffith paper is elegant.....restrained for me !!  i tried to keep the cards simple....hard for me

happy daisies

i used two sizes of flower shaped nestabilities.....cut into every other petal on both leaving each center intact....then just used a glue dot and a botton to anchor them.  the dotted paper is from PTI.....and so are the sentiments.

pretty bows and corners set them off in a "snappy" 'tude kind of way.  i made two of each color, but with different sentiments on each

more froggies

i guess i am enamored with frogs these days.  made a cute set of 4 birthday cards using the SU unfrogettable set.

each is 4.25 square.....i made lime green envies to match.....

froggies

i made a set of frog cards...all 4 1/4 inches square.  the punch was a cute little froggy by EK success and stamps: "unfrogettable" by SU, sentiments from PTI and the jars and trapped bug...Judith.

i fiddled and fiddled and finally came up with a box to hold them.  have not made the envies yet, and i fear they may not fit inside the box.  may have to go back to the drawing board.

this sentiment is from a PTI set...."pond life".... papers were bits and pieces of scraps.  

the next card has two mason jar stamps i got ages ago from Judith stamps....don't think i ever used them...the little bug in the jar is also a Judith "sticky".  i covered the jars with vellum.....stuck the bug and a froggie inside....the woodgrain piece was made using my new woodgrain stamp.....cut with a tim holtz scallop edge die

last one.......used some corrugated cardstock and a nestie dies for the scalloped and pinked circles.....

the SU hydrangea stamp was inked with memento black and colored with copics.  a bit of fine clear glitter.....

from the PTI set up up and away......cut the balloons using the coordinating die from DP.....clouds also have a die.....they are cut from shimmery pearl cardstock embossed with swirls.

kites

a PTI set....up up and away.....has kites and hot air balloons.....love this set.  i stamped three kites on designer paper and cut them out, popping one more than the others....sentiment also from PTI....scalloped edge...tim holtz
